Pasilla Mixe (1.5oz)

Pasilla Mixe is a very rare pepper cultivated in the Sierra Norte in the southern state of Oaxaca.

Traditionally harvested by the Mixe, an indigenous people who inhabit the eastern highlands of Oaxaca.

This chile is a variety of a pasilla that is gently smoked in stone smokers, they have an intense smoky flavor, meaty and with a mild sweetness like raisins, with an assertive amount of heat. 

This will add depth layers to an adobo, mole, beans, salsas, rubs, etc.
